Responsible for carrying out manufacturing, modifications or repairs to any type of sheet metal structure. Required to use all types of sheet metal fabricating equipment.
Requirements: Requires a working knowledge of Sheet Metal or Composite repair and fabrication techniques. Must have a certificate from a recognized college or institution and/or confirmation of practical trade credits and experience obtained from other sources.
The successful candidate will provide supervision for aircraft modification and kit production. The Production Coordinator will plan the daily workload according to schedule; supervise assigned shift and maintain a safe and efficient working environment; assign work to technical personnel; maintain complete and accurate Technical Handover and provide daily schedule updates.
Requirements: Experience in a supervisory role in an aircraft modification environment is required. In depth knowledge of regulations, quality systems, avionics systems and manufacturing processes is necessary. Candidate must have excellent communication skills. An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license will be considered an asset.
The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Engineering & Test Flight and will work with the engineering design team as well as other supervisors to implement designs to meet with customer requirements.
Requirements: Knowledge of aircraft design as well as strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational, time management and computer skills. Knowledge of AutoCad, Inventor or Catia. P. Eng. designation beneficial. A minimum of 5 years experience in structural designs required. Experience in prototyping environment an asset but not mandatory.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of aviation maintenance & manufacturing processes and knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations. Must hold a valid AME License and have a min. of 6 years experience in the aircraft industry. Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate information regardless of its complexity and be able to recognize opportunities for improving product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Must demonstrate, either through experience or education, a knowledge of both Quality Control & Quality Assurance methods and a knowledge of Transport Canada and ISO:9001 auditing techniques and practices.
